Coral Gables is known for its tree canopy, and Belmont Village is no exception. In this clip the drone rises out of the mature trees that screen the lower floors and carries on up the facade.

When the landscaping is in the way

Trees close to a building make the wall behind them dirtier. Shade keeps the surface damp, so algae and mildew take hold, and leaves, pollen and debris collect on ledges and sills. The floors behind a canopy are often the most stained part of the building and the hardest to reach.

The trees are also part of what the property is worth, so they should not be cut back for a cleaning crew. The drone launches from a clear spot at the edge of the property and climbs past the canopy. The soft wash goes on at low pressure, and the chemistry is chosen with the planting below in mind.

If your property has mature trees, palms or hedges close to the walls, mention them when you request a quote. We plan launch points and spray direction around them at the site survey, so the landscaping stays as it is.

Mature landscaping is exactly what blocks a boom lift: there is no clear path to set outriggers and no line to the wall above the canopy. Launching from a clear spot at the perimeter avoids removing or pruning anything.

About this project

This footage was filmed at Belmont Village Coral Gables, an occupied senior-living high-rise. Vista Drone Cleaning cleaned more than 130,000 square feet of exterior (facade, windows, floor surfaces and the parapet) at $0.20 per square foot, all in, in seven days, with no scaffolding, swing stages, rope access or lifts and no closures.
